Every pupil in the school takes part in at least one event, from the Nursery egg-and-spoon to the Basic 9 400 metres. Houses score across all year groups, so the youngest pupils' points count exactly as much as the oldest.
The programme starts at 7:30am with the march-past and ends with the 4×100 metre house relay just before noon. Pupils wear house colours; a house vest is available from the school shop.
Parents are welcome all morning. Water and light refreshments are sold by the PTA in aid of the library appeal.
