Two of these should be unremarkable. In practice they are not, which is why we list them.
Twenty-two in Lower Primary, twenty-four in Upper Primary, twenty-five in Junior High. Every Lower Primary and Preschool room has two adults in it.
Eighty-nine per cent of our teaching staff were here three years ago. We would rather pay properly and keep people than replace them every September.
One external course a year for every teacher, plus in-house training on the days before each term opens. Assistants have a part-funded route to qualified status.
Salaries on the twenty-fifth, every month, and SSNIT and statutory contributions paid in full. This should not be a selling point, and yet it is.
Star Avenue School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Every appointment is subject to satisfactory police and reference checks, and all staff complete child-protection training annually.
We do not use corporal punishment. No member of staff may strike a child for any reason; this is a condition of employment.
We appoint on merit and we welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
